In Education

If a student is applying for a Disabled Students’ Allowance, then the Local Education Authority requires a needs assessment to detail the support needs of that student.

Kent Assessors, www.kentassessors.org.uk, a branch of Inclusive Partnership, provides needs assessments for disabled students in higher education and works with students and Local Education Authorities all over the country.

In partnership with Kent Association for the Blind, www.kab.org.uk, the Kent Assessors Head Office is in Maidstone, Kent.

Kent Assessors holds membership of the National Network of Assessment Centres (NNAC), The Quality Assurance Group (QAG), and the National Association of Disability Officers (NADO).
We also work closely with the Open University.

We have just created two new partnerships through which we will be providing an outreach assessment service for students with disabilities at The University of Greenwich - www.gre.ac.uk and Thanet College in Kent - www.thanet.ac.uk

We will deliver a comprehensive training and quality assurance programme to both these institutions, so that together we can provide the highest level of support and follow up for disabled students. We are looking forward to a  successful, dynamic working relationship with both our new partners.

In The Workplace

We provide support to adults who are looking for employment, or who are currently in work, through our Changes and Challenges project. Following the supported employment model, we work with individuals to help them realise their life/work potential.  Our team of consultants work through partnerships and are involved in the new government initiative ‘Health, Work and Well-being’. - www.dwp.gov.uk

We run the ‘Changes and Challenge’ interactive course for adults who want to enter the world of employment.

Commercially aware and people centred, we work with organisations to maximise the potential of their staff.  We provide practical support, advice, guidance and signposting for disabled people in the workplace, and consultancy services and success coaching services to commercial organisations and the voluntary sector.  We have provided consultancy services to the national voluntary organisation ‘Survivors’ - www.survivorsuk.co.uk and mental health consultancy services to the University College for Creative Arts. - www.ucreative.ac.uk
